Every kind of service comes with its own constraints. Here is what we transfer in each case, and what needs particular care.
We copy the running system, or install a clean one and restore your data when the existing setup is too dated. Your IP addresses change, so the DNS cutover is prepared up front.
Transfer to an equivalent or better machine. Partitioning and RAID level are reproduced, and your hypervisor is reinstalled if you run virtualisation.
We take over your instances on our hourly-billed cloud. Snapshots are imported and your filtering rules transcribed one by one.
When your provider supplies a cPanel backup, we restore it as-is. Otherwise the transfer is done by hand, account by account.
Mailboxes are resynchronised over IMAP, preserving your folder tree and the read or unread state of every message.
The risk in a migration is not moving the data, it is the cutover. We prepare that part completely before touching anything.
We record the versions in place - PHP, MySQL or MariaDB, web server, modules and extensions - then reproduce an equivalent environment on our side. A site running PHP 7.4 dropped onto PHP 8.3 without warning breaks; this audit is what removes that first trap.
Deliverable: the list of version gaps and dependencies to settle before cutover.
Your files go over with rsync and your databases as dumps, while the old server keeps serving all the traffic. Because rsync only copies what changed since the previous pass, the final sync takes just a few minutes.
You test the service on the new machine before anyone is sent to it.
This is the step most often forgotten, and the most expensive to skip. With a 24-hour TTL, some of your visitors would still be sent to the old server for a full day after the switch. We lower it several hours ahead.
TTL dropped to 300 seconds, then raised again once the cutover is stable.
Final resync, A and AAAA records updated, then verification from several public resolvers to confirm they all return the new address. The old server stays powered on for the length of propagation.
Target perceived downtime: under 15 minutes on the vast majority of setups.
Changing host does not change your URLs: unlike a domain name change, no 301 redirects are needed and your rankings are not put back in play. The only real SEO risk in a migration is the service being unreachable, and that is exactly what this method removes.

To qualify for the free first month, your request needs to meet the following conditions.
The offer is reserved for new Infrawire customers. If you already hold an account with us, it does not apply.
You need to attach an invoice from your current provider dated within the last 30 days. It must be legible and name the hosting service concerned.
The offer covers a complete migration from another host. Adding a service to an existing account is not eligible.
The free month is applied to your first month after migration. A minimum commitment may be required depending on the service chosen.
Every request is reviewed individually. We reserve the right to decline the offer where conditions are not met or fraud is suspected.
